I have to admit, I would have never read Anna Karenina (wow, a very long book) or Madame Bovary. She also promised to give me Rebecca.
I like more to read light fiction or crime fiction.
or funny books.
I never laughed so much before while reading The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy. *lol*

Pirates fo the Caribbean III

I saw yesterday the third installment of Pirates of the Caribbean.
It didn't meet my expectations. :-(
The movie was too long, a little bit confusing for me and some things were predictable. but more behind the cut.

One thing:
There should be an additional scene after the credits, but I didn't stay so long at the cinema.

First, Orlando looked hot!

So, the second part ended with a dead Jack and his crew went to the strange woman to find him and to bring him back and suddenly Barbossa was there to help them.

Jake is now in a strange place whith the Plack Pearl and his whole crew looked like him. or he duplicated himself, don't know. The idea is nice and funny, but it was too long.

The Calypso storyline was also strange and was IMO totally pointless. ok, Calypso and Davy Jones were a couple. Davy Jones was only allowed to see his love every ten years and she wasn't there and so now he's such a creature. I understood it that way, maybe I'm wrong, it was all so confusing sometimes.
Calypso is a goodness and the nine highest pirates (don't know the right definition) banned her and now Barbossa want to resurrect her. (I never understood why)
oh, the strange woman is Calypso.

so, he resurrect her and she generated an enormous swirl and the flying dutchman and the black pearl got into the swirl.
funny quote from a supporting actor : why does it have to rain now?
so true, why does it always have to rain to intensify a dramatic scene? *roll eyes*

Jack wanted to take Davy Jones place, but Davy kills Will and with his last effort Will stabs Davy's heart (with Jakes help) that he can live.

Will saw in the second part his father who is part of the crew from the Flying Dutchman. He's determined to save his father.
Now, he's with his father, but he (kind of) lost the love of his life.

This was so predictable. The whole time I thought about it who will take Davy Jones's place.
of course, no classic happy end between Will and Elizabeth. BTW, they got married during the final fight.
Elizabeth will wait for him. you know, he's only allowed to see her every ten years.

I liked the first part better.

oh, now I know about the final scene after the credits:
Elisabeth is waiting for Will and

a nine year old boy is with her.

so predictable........

My thoughts about Spiderman

I went to the cinema to watch Spiderman III.
Without spoiling someone, I can say that I liked the movie. You get what you expect from such a movie.

I like the idea behind Spiderman. Someone who's a loser, a geek in high school, receives special powers and saves the world everyday. Someone who you would never expect that he's able to do such things.

If you don't want to get spoiled than don't click 'behind the curtain'. ;-)

The beginning is nice and cute. MJ and Peter lying in a huge spider web, enjoying their time togehter. MJ gained a part in a Broadway musical. Peter is happy too, the people love Spiderman and he wants to propose! Harry is still angry because he things Spiderman killed his dad and he knows that Peter is Spiderman. It seems that MJ doesn't know that Harry knows.

The problems begin as MJ is fired because the critics are bad and Peter doesn't listen to MJ.
and Harry is the 'New Goblin' and attacks Peter.
and there's the Sandman
and there's this other creature who needs a host and guess who is the first host?

Peter is very selfish in this part and so vainly too even before he gets bad.
The dark Peter Parker was more awkward than scarry.
the black Spiderman was a nice idea, but I expected more. I can't say what I wanted to be different, but I wasn't content with the result.

BTW, Harry is cute and handsome. hehe
During the second fight with Spiderman he burnt one side of his face.
Damn you Spiderman! you destroyed the face of my handsome!

some things were so predictable.
Sandman and the other 'thing' kidnapping MJ
Harry fighting alongside with Spiderman and

HERE'S A MAJOR, MAJOR SPOILER!!!

Harry dying. :-(((((((

I was so sad about this. MJ and Peter too.

wow, there were soo many tears in this part.

as always, I felt bad for the felon. The Sandman a.k.a Flint Marco killed Peter's uncle. but it was an accident! The other guy bumped into him and the gun fired. :-(((
He has a little girl and she's so ill and he needed the money.
It was nice that Peter forgave him and he gave him freedom.

Peter didn't propose to MJ. He screwed up. He humiliated her and he wasn't there for her.
at the end, he visited her, she grabbed his hand and END OF THE MOVIE.
I was glad that it wasn't a 'real' happy end between them. I think they still have a chance together.
Peter needs to learn to take a back seat sometimes and he should be there for MJ.

My final statement:
I liked the movie and it's worth to watch it.

Her ex-boyfriend abused her and only dated her to outrival his enemy. The man who really loved her and would do everything for her is too much of a coward to confess her love for her.

Meanwhile, look for some major sparkage between Calleigh and Delko.

I think 'some serious hot water' means a lot of trouble......
my hope is that it says 'settles a debt' and not 'his debt'.
lame, but I have an excuse: I'm not a native speaker, so who could blame me for not understanding it correctly? LOL

So, it seems that E/C is serious.
This is really a major step back. I think I will join the chorus: Season 2 and Season 3 was soo much better.

I think I'm going to read the CaRWash and Hardy Boys ship more often now and pretend I never read about the spoilers. The good thing is that I have one year till I can see the episodes. I can read your comments and can decide wheter to watch it or not.

CSI Miami SPOILERS

I read at talk.csi some spoilers for the episode 5.22 and I'm very frustrated after reading them.
Normally I would write it at talk.csi about it, but sadly things got complicated there. I don't want to be responsible for starting an argument. so, I'm doing it here.
Oh, no worries, it doesn't mean you can't write your opinion. I'm a open minded young woman! ;-)
and maybe some people don't like me anymore after this.

Sorry for the mistakes. after editing it for the forth time I guess there are more mistakes. I'm just too lazy and too frustrated to check it again.

First, Ryan got in trouble again. AGAIN! and AGAIN!
I'm not sure if I understood it correctly, but it seems that Ryan gambles and has some debts. The CSI's suspect a guy and Ryan owns him money. The guy wants to 'blackmail' him and will remits his debt when Ryan helps him that he isn't a suspect anymore. (I'm not sure if I got this part right). Ryan pays the money while on duty and will get in to a lot of trouble, even Horatio can't help him.

arg!!!! Ryan and gambling? I don't buy this. and he's always the one who does such stupid things.
I want to know the 'why'. Which reason could he have to gamble. I know that police officers don't earn a lot of money in the US (maybe in Austria too, don't know). When the reason is good, then I think this storyline could be a good one. Maybe he needs the money not for himself. please!!! this is my only hope.

the next thing is that Yelina is coming back! I mean I'm very, very happy about this. I really like her character and also the H/Y relationsip. The bad thing is that Yelina is now a private investigator. which wouldn't be a bad thing. the problem I have is that her suspect is the guy from the Ryan storyline and she will see Ryan paying back the money while on duty.
and it seems that she will - kind of- whistle blow this.
I don't like this. Yelina - the woman who helped him to get the job - will help to destroy his career. I can't see her doing this. she would got to Horatio first.
My hope here is that we don't know exactly what will happen and maye it's not so bad. I repeat, I can't see Yelino doing this.
and maybe I understood it wrong. and I should just look forward that she's back again in an episode.

and now the most horrible thing for me: maybe there will be a romance between Calleigh and Eric.
Please, please no!!!!! I don't know why I read this shipping thread, I wish I hadn't done it. I don't want to repeat the spoilers, but they are terrible.
In my little world romances between main characters on CSI shows are not allowed. It doesn't matter which.
There's only one ship which would work for me on screen: Horatio/Yelina. I don't think it would be awkward to watch. They are nearly canon.
People who know me will say, but you are shipping Ryan/Cal and Ryan/Eric too and you don't like romances between main characters? you are not a real shipper. You don't undersand the concept of shipping.

maybe I am. It's nice to read about cute scenes and wonderful fanfics, but I started to watch the CSI shows, because I never thought that there will be a romance between main characters. The cases are in the foregrund. They seemed to be so different from all the other shows I normally watch. (and I watch a lot of different shows).
and then I read that Sara/Gil are a couple on-screen and I was disappointed.
but CSI LV isn't my fav show, so maybe I could cope with that. (haven't seen it yet). Miami is my fav. and now they are doing this.
and it would also destroy all the other shipping communities. Cal is shipped with everyone as is Eric.
See, my both fun ships would be dead.
I really, really hope that this won't be happen.

Bye, don't expect a post from me today at talk.csi. maybe in the misc-forum in a total unrelated CSI thread.

I hope that no one is angry with me and feel free to add your opinion.

My luck was that another van was parking parallel to the pavement. The van hit only the parked van on the side and not me. The big surprise was that no one was driving the amok van. My guess is that the hand brake broke.

I really didn't know that walking on the pavement is so dangerous. *roll eyes*
